Buddha Cartoons

I wasn't raised with any religion. Sometimes, growing up, that bothered me - everyone else had one, why didn't I? As I grew older, I saw that being unreligious had its perks; I wasn't bound to follow crazy-ass hypocritical rules. I went through a long period of being agnostic, then another period of being Pagan, then I was sure I was an atheist. Two summers ago, I began to study Buddhism, and much of that philosophy clicked with me. I suppose I had this idea in my head that since I had cancer, I'd better find God.

The best thing about Buddhism is that you don't need to believe in God to follow its practices. It's a practice-based way of life; it doesn't require you to go anywhere or worship anyone. It's about leading a good life, being kind to others and to yourself. It's about letting go of inconsequential matters and materials. It's about being bigger than yourself and also being only yourself.

Buddhism rocks.

I came across a great site today that breaks Buddhism down in cartoon form. Clever and cute, you can't beat that! Click on the title above to enjoy.
